Download and install Ledger Wallet™ (formerly Ledger Live™)
Ledger Wallet™ (formerly Ledger Live™) is a secure and user-friendly application that allows you to manage your cryptocurrencies using your Ledger hardware device. Unlike many other apps, Ledger Wallet does not require you to sign in with an email address or password. All data is stored locally on your computer or mobile device, and access is secured through your Ledger device.
The Ledger Wallet app is available for desktop and mobile, supporting Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
Downloading the Correct Version
When downloading the Ledger Wallet app, make sure to choose the version that matches your device:
- Desktop users: Always download the desktop version for Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- Mobile users: Download the app from the official App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
⚠️ The mobile version is not designed for computers and may cause connection or performance issues if used incorrectly.

📌 While the app may work on some tablets or iPads, these devices are not officially supported.
📌 The Ledger Wallet app is not supported on virtual machines.

Troubleshooting
I can’t log in with my email
Newer versions of the Ledger Wallet app may show a “Log in to Ledger Recover” option during setup. This option is only for users subscribed to Ledger Recover, an optional paid service.
If you are not a Ledger Recover subscriber, simply select “Get started” to continue with the standard setup.
✔️ The standard Ledger Wallet setup does not require an email or password, as the app stores data locally on your device.
